Great music can instantly teleport you without even having to think about it. Stephen Falken of the Valerie Collective does this without a doubt with his new album “Visions.” It brings me back to arcades in the early 1980’s. Back to a simpler time of green grids on computer screens and the images of an 84 ferrari tessterossa’s, the dream car, in your mind. I must have had at least 3 hot wheels of that car back in the day. You see, what Stephen Falken does with his music is take classic synth/beat machines and weld them together to bring back the original feeling of the 80’s. The 1980’s was a very special time: when cutting edge computers were still using green screen monitors, Pong and Pac-Man were the most advanced video games out there, technology was barely starting in the computer age, and an 80’s persons point of view of the future was radical and will never be reproduced again. I feel that Stephen Falken in his new album is trying to reach out to this crowd and he’s keeping the spirit of the true 80’s alive.

For this we thank you Mr. Falken. Your music embodies all of this.

If Daft Punk wasn’t already chosen to do the score for Tron Legacy (Tron 2) we would have loved for Stephen Falken to bless us with some musical greatness. We expect to see some huge things from this artist. We at TILT will definitely keep you informed on all of his future projects.
As you may know already, he is 50% of another Valerie Duo called The Outrunners. You can download a song from our past post here.

We at TILT STRONGLY RECOMMEND you to take this challenge. Have a good listen. Let us know what you think. We have the 160kbps for you here. To get the full 320kbps Stephen Falken experience download it here!
