Ode to Electro: Top 5 Destructive Tracks

Perhaps I came a little mentally unprepared for the Neon Indian / Crystal Castles show last night because I had NO idea it was going to be so epically loud and amazing. Its fair to say that Crystal Castles performance was the music equivalent of getting my teeth kicked in .. in a good way if that were even possible .. Imagine not being able to see who is playing – You hear the solid drum beat paired with a dark heavy synth rocking some 8-bit fusion and the vocals kick in which could only come from the most hardcore-est chick ever. Well wrong, seeing this performance come from 5 foot something mannequin-esque Alice Glass swinging a strobe light through the air was an opportunity I recommend to anyone who is a fan of electro/punk. A couple real crowd pleasers was – of course – “Crimewave” (Health remix) and a couple new songs towards then end that will NOT disappoint CC fans. So I figured the only way to pay tribute to such an experience would be to post my top 5 favorite and most destructive electro tracks. It goes without saying (yet ill do it anyway) there are far too many tracks I would love to share in this post but here for your listening pleasure is my narrowed down list. Hope you enjoy, and I invite any of you readers to share your opinions (Love or Hate welcome). Take care.

5. Crystal Fighters -Xtatic Truth (Last Japan Remix)
4. Acid Girls – The Numbers Song
3. Scissor Sisters- She’s My Cream (Three Stacks Remix)
2. Eric Prydz – Pjanoo (Dada Life Guerilla Fart #7)
1. From Monument To Masses – Beyond God & Elvis (Felix Cartal Remix)

    Why don’t you guys use zippyshare.com for uploading files? The uploader is super fast (connection dependent obviously), it displays the links easily, and most importantly, it’s so easy for users to DL files (unlimited parallels, no multiple pages, etc. JUST DO IT! Oh, and great blog!

    Great recommendation on Zippyshare and everything almost checked out however our main reason for sticking with Zshare is that the source code is fairly basic and we can easily pull a fully working .mp3 URL from the download page to put into our players here. Ill do some more research on zippyshare and see if I cant figure out how to get the full URL from theirs. Zippyshare seems to actually run their song preview through some sort of mildly amusing scramble and im just seeing this

    var pong = ‘fckhttp%3A%2F%2Fjjj23.zippyshare.com%2Funl%2F567755841s%2F1257705672%2F56775584.mp3’;
    var token = unescape(pong.replace(/xxx/, “zzz”).replace(/unl/g, “v”).replace(/seven/g, “6”));
    token = unescape(pong.replace(/jjj/, “www”).replace(/unl/g, “d”));
    dump = “hi guys”.replace(/www/, “zzz”);
    var redump = “hi guys”.replace(/www/, “zzz”);
