+ It’s now time for LADIES CHOICE! Miss Marie aka Agent Lover here with a few of my favorite female-fronted tracks of the moment! A little girl power for your Tuesday night, if you will. First off, I miss YELLE! It’s been a minute since she showed the scene her own special type of je ne sais quoi with her debut album, Pop-Up. I have sweet memories of listening to “Je Veux Te Voir,” which remains one of my favorite fuck you anthems. Her cover of Robyn’s “Who’s That Girl” came out this past summer but is a satisfying go-to track until she gives us something new. She’ll also be featured on the upcoming Crookers album, Tons Of Friends, which drops in March. I am anxiously waiting to hear any buzz about a new album. Come back, ma chérie!
+ I’m loving this Sammy Bananas remix of Bag Raiders‘ “Fun Punch” featuring Carrie Wilds on vox. It has that high-energy, freestyle, Aqua Net sound I adore so I’ve been listening to this version on the regular. She’ll be releasing an EP next year so I’ll be keeping tabs on this little lady who looks like the Dita Von Teese of the dance floor. Found out she will be on the Crookers album as well!
+ Thunderheist’s Grahmzilla, who helped us celebrate TILT’s 2-Year Anniversary recently, just put out this solid remix of Little Boots‘ “Mathematics.” I kind of dig it better than the original actually!
+ Finally, the G.L.O.V.E.S. remix of Miami Horror’s “Sometimes” mixes things up nicely by having Sophia Brous provide pretty lady vocals to an amazing track. Adds a nice touch to an already strong single.
Stay tuned for more LADIES CHOICE in the future!
