New Teaser From Danger’s EP 9/17/2007

Another new teaser for French DJ and Producer Danger’s soon-to-be-released EP, 9/17/2007, just came out getting us even more excited for its release. The electro enigma will be dropping his latest on January 25th on vinyl and digitally on Feb 1st through the Ekler’o’shock label. Danger’s formula of 80’s video games, intense imagery, and all around strong beats wrapped up in a persona of mystery should definitely make this EP a third-time charm. Check it out:

Danger also known as Franck Riviore, drew inspiration for his tracks from Mad Max all the way to Do The Right Thing. For the eerie track 4h30, Danger said, “I imagine myself walking down a dark alley, alone, while a group of cyberpunks dressed in a Mad Max-style stare at me, I see Harrison Ford investigating (Blade Runner), and Maurice Dantec.”

On the track 3h11, Danger had an even more interesting mix of sources: “I composed this track thinking of the character Radio Barjo of Do The Right Thing. I boosted all the high notes to produce a Walkman effect, reminiscent of an 80’s – early 90’s street mood. I also found inspiration in Technotronic, breakdance instrumentals (I used keyboards from that period) and even Yuzo Koshiro, the composer of soundtracks for the game Streets of Rage.”

Can’t wait to see what else he has in store for us with 9/17/2007!

And here is the first teaser for the EP:

We can also expect a fourth EP AND an album to come out later this year!

Anyone know why his EP is named 9/17/2007, curious what significance the date has to the artist. But yea, definitely going to have to pick this one up.

I wondered that too, but his other two EP’s are 9/14/2007 and 9/16/2007 so he musta had ONE HELLUVA WEEK! His track titles are so random too. All numbers. I wonder if it is like Lost and we have to decipher some sorta code…hahha

I read somewhere that Danger composes all of his music off various feelings and inspirations… just like all music, really… but in this case, he’s going for the feelings that he thinks best accommodate certain times. Not too sure about the dates though, but I have no doubt it fits in with his timeline of the story he tells with his characters and songs.

Yeah man the hours depend on the times

4h30 is 430 in the morning, etc

14h54 is 254 in the afternoon

    24 hour times, get it?

88h88 is what you get when the clock is broken lol
